Capt Woodrow W. Fox attended Ola and Kaufman High Schools.

He joined the National Guard on 25 November 1940 in Terrell, Texas. He was sent to the Officers Training Cours at Fort Benning and was sent to Europe in September 1944.

He is remembered at Fox Cemetery in Rand, Texas.
