Pvt Floyd D. Koziol enlisted in Fort Snelling, Minnesota on 8 March 1944 and went overseas as an infantryman in October. His parents both had died and Pvt Koziol made his home with his aunt and guardian, Mrs. Philip Kuharski at Montrose, Minnesota. Prior to joining the service, he was employed by Northwest Autoatic Products Corp.
