Pvt Ross C. Danford enlisted in Rochester, New York on 2 January 1943.A graduate of Brighton High School, he was employed at the Camera Works prior to his enlistment. He attended Maryland College under the ASTP but was transferred to an infantry unit when that program was abandoned.
He had been overseas since September.
