Pfc Adrian L. Paci graduated from Exeter High School and received a bachelor's degree at Penn State Inuversity in 1941.

He was instructor of music at Hastings High School when he enlisted in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on 12 June 1943. He was stationed at Langley Field, Virginia with a band. He later was transferred to the infantry at Camp Gordon and was sent overseas on 1 February 1945.
