Pfc Wallace E. Hoagburg attended Central High School and he was employed by the Essex Wire Corporation and the Studebaker Corporation.He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 9 October 1943 and received training at Camp Atterbury, Camp Blanding, Florida and Fort Meade, Maryland, before being sent overseas in June 1944.
