Pfc William H. Davis enlisted in Little Rock, Arkansas on 19 October 1943.His remains were discovered on top of the ground by a German civilian in a wooded area in April 1946. It was assumed he was killed by mines since he was found in a minefield. He was evacuated to Ardennes Cemetery and initially buried in a temporary grave on 19 April 1946. He was given his final resting place on 30 March 1949.
