Pvt Edward B. Rapp enlisted in Fort Lewis, Washington on 6 June 1944.He was a graduate of Salem High School and was employed at Swift & Co. Company before entering the army. He received infantry training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas and went overseas in November 1944.
