Pfc Henry D. Sonnen was a welder at the Bresselt Sheet Metal Works.

He enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 14 April 1944. He was sent overseas in September 1944.

At the time of his death his brother George was serving with the Marines in the South Pacific.
