Pfc Henry E. Graves attended school at Hickory Grove and was a construction worker before he enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on 22 December 1943 and had been overseas since September 1944.

At the time of his death the 11th Infantry Regiment was engaged in the vicinity of Haller - Waldbillig, Luxembourg.

He was first buried at the U.S. Temporary Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
