Sgt Michael J. Herberholz worked on the family farm.He enlisted on 26 February 1941 and was sent to Iceland in November 1942 and served there for nearly a year. He was then stationed in Ireland and England until July 1944.
He was promoted to sergeant on 23 September 1944.
