Pvt. Harry L. Hughes enlisted at Cp. Croft, South Carolina on 30 November 1943.He was a weaver before he enlisted.
At the time of his death the 11th Infantry Regiment was engaged in the fighting in the vicinity of Arnaville, France.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in St. James, France.
