Pvt Vincent W. McCann attended Guilford High School for 3 years and worked on a farm. He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 9 March 1944.Then he went to Camp Blanding, Florida for a 17 week intensive training.
On 4 August 1944 he went overseas.
