Capt Glenn T. Elliott attended college for three years and was an optician in private practice.

He joined the National Guard on 24 May 1932. He joined the Regular Army as a 2nd Lt on 10 February 1941 and he was promoted to Capt on 2 January 1943.

During an enemy barrage he was killed by shell fragments as L Company moved out of Gralingen as part of a Battalion attack on the village of Merscheid on the early morning. Halfway through, it was met by German MG fire. Capt Elliott and twelve other Enlisted Men were killed in action.
