S/Sgt Leonard F. Potts attended East High School and was an attendant in an amusement park.He enlisted in Chicago, Illinois on 14 April 1941.
He was reported wounded in action in France on 27 July 1944. After recovering he returned to his unit in September 1944.
His two brothers also served during the war.
