Pvt Robert H. Cowan graduated from Dedham High School in June, 1944 and was employed at the Registry of Deeds.He enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 18 August 1944. He trained at Camp Croft, South Carolina and was sent overseas on 3 January 1945.
