Pfc Edward A. Tomassone joined the Regular Army when his father signed the papers because he was too young to enlist.Pfc Tomassone was killed in action as G Company crossed the Moselle River in assault boats near Dornot. The members of G Company had no time to recover their dead, and unit records do not indicate what happened to Pfc Tomassone's body. He remains unaccounted-for following the incident.
