Ernest Wenberg graduated from Nicolet High School and the University of Wisconsin Medical School. The son of a minister, he served as the President of the Wesley Foundation Methodist campus organization.A Doctor, Lt Wenberg entered the Army on completion of his internship in Denver, Colorado. He took a three-months course in psychiatry at Columbia University before he was sent overseas two months before his death.
Lt Wenberg died in Stalag XII-A. The Germans claim Lt. Wenberg's death was the result of an air raid.
