Pfc George M. Snyder enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 30 March 1944. He attended high school for 4 years and was a sales clerk before he enlisted. He was married.Pfc Snyder was taken POW in the vicinity of Sankt-Vith, Belgium on 21 December 1944. He died of pneumonia in the POW Camp Stalag 9C.
