Pfc Charles P. Hill attended 1 year of high school and was a retail manager in an ice cream factory.

He enlisted in Schreveport, Louisiana on 18 December 1942.

He was taken prisoner in the vicinity of Sankt Vith, Belgium on 21 December 1944 and was held prisoner at Stalag IV-B in Mühlberg, Germany.

He was killed by Russian aircraft while walking to the American lines after he was liberated.
