Pfc Charles B. Wilson was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad Shops where he worked as a switchman.He enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 29 July 1944. He was sent overseas in December 1944.
A bronze plaque had been place in the Illinois Central Railroad freight station in Indianapolis in honor of Charles B. Wilson.
