Pfc. Clarence J. Harnish attended Freeport High School and was employed at the Burgess Battery Company.He volunteered for the Army of the United States on 19 July 1940 and was sent overseas in October 1944.
At the time of his death, his wife was pregnant of their son, Dennis, who was born on 15 April 1945.
