More information

Pfc. John H. Weikel enlisted on 23 June 1943 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He trained at Camp Fannin and Camp Maxey in Texas.

He graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia in June 1943.

His father was a Mexican Border War and World War I veteran.

His unit was stationed in the vicinity of Losheimergraben, Belgium and due to the fact that Pfc. Weikel was wounded in action, it can be assumed that he was evacuated behind the lines to Belgium and died in a field hospital. Information that these are the exact facts is not available at this time.
