Pfc Richard F. Julius attended Naperville and Wheaton High Schools. He was employed at the gasoline station on Harlem and Ogden ave.

Pfc Julius enlisted on 28 February 1943.

His last letter home was written on 17 January 1945, just three days before before that fatal day. He was resting back of the lines and as he was starting his letter home the Heinies came over and dropped everything they had, he said.
