Pvt John W. Angwin enlisted in Manchester, New Hampshire on 6 October 1944.He graduated from Concord High School in 1937 and worked as a motor vehicle mechanic at Carlson's Motor Sales.
On the early morning of 14 March the 2nd Infantry Regiment started crossing the Moselle river.
