T/5 Harry E. Folenius attended Roosevelt Junior High School. He was a motor vehicle mechanic.Lt Col Leslie Ball from HQ Company intended to set up an observation post in a pillbox. T/5 Harry E. Folenius had to set up a phone system inside the pillbox. A German artillery shell scored a direct hit on the pillbox. The doors were wide open so the men inside could set up the phone. Folenius had been killed instantly by the concussion of the blast.
