Pfc William L. Connors enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 28 June 1944."Mrs. William Connors of Third avenue, Scottdale, has been notified by the War Department that her husband, Pfc Connors, was killed in action in Germany on March 3. Serving with an infantry outfit of the Third Army under General Patton, he has been in the Army since June 27, 1944, going overseas last January. A graduate of Scottdale High School with the Class of 1939, he was a brother of Privat Robert J, who was wounded in Germany and who has since been taken to a hospital in England."
