Pvt Joseph G. Miller graduated from East High School and was a mail carrier.

He enlisted in February, 1944.

Two months after Pvt Miller's parents were notified that their son was reported missing in action since 18 December 1944, they were informed that he had died from wounds in Stalag IV-B.
