Pfc Thomas H. Giles graduated from Morgan High School and Morgan L.D.S. seminary in 1933 and was a farmer.

He enlisted on 4 January 1944 and was sent overseas in September 1944

Pfc Giles was in a foxhole when an enemy artillery shell burst in a nearby tree and a piece of shrapnell struck him. He was killed instantly.
