Pfc George E. Strong graduated from Salyersville High school and attended Western Kentucky Teachers College.He enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 14 April 1943.
Pfc Strong was reported wouned in action in Germany on 13 October 1944 and died in a hospital in Paris, France.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Solers, France.
