T/Sgt Lloyd R. Cupit enlisted in Meadville, Mississippion 25 November 1940.
Fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Belgium.
Was always a good leader who cared for his men; always sang a song he had made up about sending Hitler a message on the modern canon ball. He made it through the Battle of the Bulge but was killed in action 8 March 1945 as he led his men into a town in Kottenforst, Germany.
