Pvt Porter F. Fuqua graduated from Amarillo High School in 1938 and from Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas in 1941.He enlisted in Houston, Texas on 25 January 1943.
He was married to Helen Bayne in December 1943.
Pvt Porter Fuqua had served overseas since June of 1943. He was in the African, Sicilian and Italian campaigns and was in France soon after D-Day.
At the time of his death, his brother was serving in the Pacific.
