Pfc Henry E. Duplessis attended Van Buren High School for one year and worked for the Bath Box Company in Maine.He enlisted in Brewer, Maine on 1 June 1943 and received training at Fort Devens in Massachusetts, Fort Dix in New Jersey, Camp Pickett in Virginia and Fort George G. Meade in Maryland.
According to his IDPF he might have been killed while crossing the Rhine River in Germany, on 17 March 1945 when the Ludendorff bridge collapsed. His remains were never recovered. He was last seen in the vicinity of Remagen, opposite the Rhine River.
