Pvt Edwin L. Short worked on a farm before he enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 2 March 1942.He was killed by small arms fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
His brother, Fred Short, is buried at Manila American Cemetery.
