Pvt Charles E. Walters attended college for two years before he joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Raleigh, North Carolina on 27 November 1942. He was sent overseas September 1944.He is remembered at the Deep River Friends Meeting Cemetery in High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina.
