Pvt Samuel S. Kendrick attended college for four years and was employed at the U.S. Interior Department Office of Indian Affairs Reindeer Service before he enlisted at Fort Francis E Warren Cheyenne, Wyoming on 15 December 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his thigh and face.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
