Pfc Richard J. Weber graduated from Lane Technical High school and was attending the University of Illinois before he joined the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 15 February 1943. He was sent overseas in September 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his leg.
