Pfc Edwin K. Errett Jr. graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He joined the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort MacArthur, California on 1 February 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.
Pfc Errett was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
