T/5 Orion D. Peterson graduated from Austin High School in 1937 and employed at the Austin Auto Company.He volunteered for the Army of the United States at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on 9 February 1942 and was sent overseas in 2 February 1945.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head.
