Pvt Mahlon B. Zeh was a driver before he enlisted on 15 June 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

On 8 February 1945, east of Monschau, Germany, he was driving the jeep of his commander when they ran on a landmine.

He was wounded during this action and evacuated to Belgium where he died the same day. The exact location is not known.
