T/4 Earle V. Von Schondorf attended schools in Hoboken and was employed by the Art Color Printing Company.He enlisted in Trenton, New Jersey on 28 January 1941. He was overseas for about two years and had seen action in Tunisia, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium and Germany.
He was the eldest of three brothers in the armed service.
