Cpl Aime M. Mingonet graduated from the University of Florida.

He joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Gainesville, Florida on 6 July 1942.

Cpl Mingonet was reported missing in action on 27 September 1944 when he was leading a reconnaissance patrol into enemy territory at Gressenich, Germany.

He was declared officially dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.

Cpl Aimee M. Mingonet is remembered at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis, Lake County, Florida with a memorial marker.

On the group picture, Cpl Mingonet is standing second from the left. On the back of the original picture was written "Sept 10 1944 somewhere in Belgium". According to the history of the 47th Infantry Regiment and after research this photo was taken at the railway station of Tilff, Belgium.
