Howard Collie joined the Regular Army on 8 November 1939.He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 20 March 1945. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place in August 1948.
Sgt Collie died of a shell fragment wound in the head.
