Pfc Arthur L. Seidel enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 1 June 1944 and received training at Camp Wheeler, Ga., and Fort Meade, Md., before being sent overseas. For six years prior to entering the service, Seidel was employed by the Trojan powder works.
