1st Lt Leon J. Wilcox graduated from the Hoosick Falls High School and Troy Business College and was employed by the State in Albany.He enlisted 20 February 1941 and was sent to Officers Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, receiving his commission and being sent overseas in April 1944.
He was reported wounded in action on 8 August 1944 in France and after hospitalization in England, was returned to duty.
