Edward F. Harvey was employed in a dry cleaning shop and was a taxi driver.He enlisted in January 1942 and was sent overseas in November 1942.
He participated in the North African invasion and Sicilian campaigns and took part in operations in Normandy shortly after D-Day.
S/Sgt Edward F. Harvey was awarded the Silver Star Medal twice, one time for his actions on July 1944.
He was reported wounded in action in August 1944 for which he was hospitalized in England.
