Sgt James E. Stinson attended Connelly Trade School and worked as a craneman in the Homestead Works of Carnegie-Illinois.He went overseas three days before his son was born.
His death on the 19th was the final example of the frequency with which the number "19" occurred in his life. The infantry sergeant was born on 19 April 1919, was classified for the draft on 19 December 1941 and entered service on 19 November 1942.
