S/Sgt Donald Oswalt graduated from New Iberia High School with the class of 1934.He enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 20 November 1942.
He trained at Camp Croft, South Carolina, where he became a staff sergeant in charge of the mess hall. He was sent overseas in July 1944.
