More information

Pfc Richard W. Clark enlisted at Fort MacArthur San Pedro, California on 2 July 1943.

He attended San Diego State University for 2 years. He was active in Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. He never got a chance to appreciate the tourist spots he heard about. In a letter he wrote: "I had thought France was a gay, romantic country, but all I see is rain, mud ad people who look like those in ancient history books."
