T/5 Rethel M. Thomasson worked on a farm before he enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 25 February 1942.He was killed when his vehicle exploded after hitting an enemy mine.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
