Pfc Harold W. Dever worked on a farm before he enlisted at Fort Hayes Columbus, Ohio on 24 March 1942 He was sent overseas in September 1943.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
Pfc Dever is remembered at the York Cemetery in York Center, Union County, Ohio.
